Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Collecto (“Collecto”, “we”, “us”), invoicing software for freelancers. By creating an account, you agree to these terms.

What Collecto is

Collecto lets you create invoices, attach your own bank/e-wallet payout details to them, and send automated reminders until your client pays. Collecto never processes, holds, or has custody of the money your clients pay you — your client pays you directly, into your own account. Collecto takes no fee or percentage of any invoice; our only charge is the subscription described below.

Because Collecto isn't a party to that payment, we can't confirm, guarantee, or reverse it. You're responsible for verifying a payment landed in your own account before marking an invoice as paid, and for the accuracy of the payout details and invoice amounts you enter.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Collecto to:

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Your content

You own the invoice, client, and business data you enter into Collecto. You grant us the limited right to store and process it solely to provide the service to you (see our Privacy Policy). Collecto's own software, design, and branding remain our property.

Disclaimer of warranties

Collecto is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any invoice will actually be paid by your client.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Collecto isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from a client's failure to pay an invoice, since Collecto is never a party to that payment. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim arose.

Termination

You can stop using Collecto and close your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms or if required by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change materially, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Collecto after a change means you accept the updated terms.
